Job summary
Working Full Time: 37.5 Hours Per Week
Who this opportunity is for:
- We are looking for a Clinical Support Worker to work in our busy Emergency Department (ED). You should be very well motivated with excellent communication skills and a willingness to put the on-going care of the patients first.
- You will have experience of working in ED or similar fast paced environment.
- You will have successfully completed the Care Certificate and be competent in cannulation and venipuncture
- The post holder will be required to work flexibly including nights and weekends.
Main duties of the job
- To work alongside nursing and medical staff to competently provide agreed clinical skills and nursing care to deliver a timely and quality service to patients.
- To accurately record, collate, monitor and provide feedback of patient information to nursing and medical staff, initiating actions asnecessary
- Recognise and respond appropriately to urgent and emergency situations.
- Communicate effectively with other departments within the Trust as well as outside agencies as appropriate.
- Participate in the assessment of health care needs through the completion and interpretation of assessment tools documentation and delegated clinical tests.
