Job summary
To support the Macmillan Lung Cancer CNS in the delivery of nursing care and services to patients including clinical administration from pre-diagnosis to end of life care in primary & secondary care at any point of their lung cancer journey.
Hours per week: 21
Main duties of the job
Provide support to the Lung Cancer Team, contributing to MDT discussion, patient assessment and reviewing care plans established by Macmillan Lung Cancer CNS both in hospital and patients residence.
Providing support with clinical administration, including collating expediting results and organising MDT discussion lists. Clinical Services Divisional Manager Macmillan Lung Cancer Lead Nurse Macmillan Lung Cancer Nurse Specialist Macmillan Lung Cancer Clinical Support Worker
Supporting the Macmillan Lung Cancer Nurses with the telephone clinic and support group activities
Assisting with the day to day running of the service including providing information for patient and carers and where appropriate sign posting to most relevant service.
