Clinical Support Worker - General Medicine (Ward 7 and CCU)

Job summary

We are looking for a Clinical Support Worker who is capable of working in a busy, challenging and rewarding environment who possess excellent communication skills, can maintain a high degree of confidentiality, are able to work to deadlines, provide excellent personal care to our patients and work as part of team.

Previous experience is not essential as we will provide a package of training on commencement. You will be working with staff at all levels and we are looking for you to demonstrate a dedicated approach in providing a high quality service .

Hours per week 37.5

Main duties of the job

The role of the Clinical Support Worker is to support the Registered Nurse in the delivery of high quality, evidence-based, holistic patient care. The post holder will be required to participate in a 24hr shift pattern and possible rotation between wards within their speciality.

  • Care Certificate or working towards, this must be completed within first 3 months of employment
  • Pass in GSCE's in Maths and English (4/C or above) or equivalent
  • NVQ Level 2 in direct care/customer services or equivalent experience
