Digital Services Intranet Manager (Internal Only)

Job summary

We're looking for an enthusiastic and innovative Intranet Manager to take the lead in shaping the future of ConnECT, our Microsoft 365-based intranet. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference across the Trust by helping staff access the information they need quickly, clearly and reliably.

As our Intranet Manager, you'll be the driving force behind how our intranet looks, feels and functions. You'll work with teams across clinical and corporate services to create engaging content, improve navigation and ensure our digital workplace remains a trusted source of up-to-date information. You'll also play a key role in transforming the way we work by replacing outdated paper processes with digital forms and automated workflows using Power Automate and other Microsoft 365 tools.

Hours per week: 37.5

Main duties of the job

We're looking for a proactive and creative Intranet Manager to lead the day-to-day management and development of ConnECT, our SharePoint-based intranet. You'll work with teams across the Trust to keep content clear and engaging, manage permissions and governance, and support the move from paper to digital by creating online forms and automated workflows using Microsoft Power Automate.

We're seeking someone with solid Microsoft 365 skills, excellent organisation and communication, and a passion for improving digital processes. If you enjoy problem-solving, supporting colleagues, and making information easy to access, this role offers a great opportunity to make a real impact across the organisation.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Educated to degree level in an IT or numeracy field OR equivalent work experience
  • Project management qualification such as PRINCE2 Foundation or higher qualification or equivalent experience
  • Microsoft accredited SharePoint developer certificate or equivalent working knowledge

Desirable

  • To hold a Microsoft accredited SharePoint developer certificate
  • Relevant training / teaching qualification e.g. Cert Ed, Certificate in Training Practice, TAP (Technology Adoption Program)
  • Project management qualification such as PRINCE2 Foundation or higher qualification oTrained to ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) Foundation or higher
  • To hold a certificate for MS-500: Microsoft 365 Security Administration
  • To hold a certificate for MS-600: Building Applications and Solutions with Microsoft 365 Core Services
