East Cheshire NHS Trust has an exciting job opportunity in the Estates & Facilities team for a Multi skilled Maintenance Technician.

The successful candidate will have or be working towards an electrical or mechanical tradequalification and will have a maintenance background. The post holder will be expected to undertake multi-skilled tasks which are both complex and/or non-routine, involving PPM's and fault finding on a wide range of engineering plant and equipment, including electrical distribution, lighting, fire detection, building management system, automated control systems, standby electrical generators, medical Gas, Water, HVAC plant.

The role is predominately based at Macclesfield Hospital but occasional travel to other sites in the community may be required as a part of the day-to-day duties.

Hours per week: 37.5

Main duties of the job

Carry out scheduled Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and general day-to-day work on building, mechanical and electrical installations plant and equipment as required.

Carry out testing on all types of building mechanical and electrical plant and equipment following repair or installation in compliance with all relevant "Hospital Technical Memorandums" Health and Safety regulations and building regulations etc.

Perform all of the duties of the post as required without direct supervision Actively participating in the operation of the Works Management System scheme in a timely manner including completion of all paperwork required of the scheme; including completion of all works order job dockets & timesheets.

To work overtime as and when required to carry out emergency repairs and out of hours planned maintenance as required by service requirements and management.

To co-operate in partnership with the Trust to provide flexible out of hours working and when Requested by the trust Undertake On-Call duties as part of the On Call team to ensure that emergency repairs occur out of normal hours are attended too.
