Clinical Effectiveness Facilitator (Internal Only)

An amazing opportunity has arisen within the Clinical Effectiveness Team for a forward thinking and dynamic person to join on a 12 month secondment or fixed term contract as a Clinical Effectiveness Facilitator, due to the current team member going on maternity leave.

Hours per week: 30.00

Main duties of the job

Clinical audit is a quality improvement tool used within NHS organisations to demonstrate quality and safety and to benchmark local improvement within local services against national standards. The role of the Clinical Effectiveness Facilitator is to support the operational Directorates to monitor their service areas clinical audit activity as defined by the annual audit programme, ensuring compliance with Clinical Audit Policy and procedures.

Key duties and responsibilities

To quality check and monitor service areas audit activity as defined by the annual audit programme

To support the collection of evidence as required for NCEPOD

Contribute to the production of reports for presentation at committees to demonstrate robust governance implementation and provide assurance.

Maintain a central database for GIRFT reports and monitor the completion of action plans developed from GIRFT audit finding

Support the various specialties in completing NICE guidance baseline assessments and quality standards checklists.
