**This position is open to staff working at the Trust in the 'ECT Family' this includes current East Cheshire NHS Trust employees, both NHSP and ECT bank staff, ISS staff and volunteers at the Trust. Unfortunately, we cannot accept applications from applicants not listed within these groups.**
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our Sterile Services Department as a HSDU Supervisor. This is a role responsible for supervision of the staff of HSDU service. The Post holder will also be responsible for the provision of specialised decontamination of medical devices and participate in a full range of operational decontamination duties in accordance with service demand.
Hours per week: 37.5

Main duties of the job
To provide supervision of service delivery under the guidance of the HSDU Manager.
To always providing a high-quality service.
To support the provision of the specialised decontamination service, contributing to the clinical care of the patient.
To assist with the Quality Assurance of production control systems within the department.
To assist with day-to-day internal management duties following established routines during the absence of the HSDU manager.
To assist with the planning for workload and staff rotas.
To work as part of a team of decontamination personnel.
To assist with managing and training a team of staff as necessary.
