We are seeking a caring and compassionate, highly skilled and motivated dentist to join the Community Dental Service (CDS) at East Cheshire NHS Trust. The is a fantastic opportunity to make an impact on the oral health of individuals with special care needs & children requiring routine exodontia with the adjust of additional treatment modalities.
The successful candidate will be working as part of a multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality dental care in a variety of settings including clinics, care homes, and domiciliary environments. This role offers a unique blend of clinical challenge, engagement and professional development.
Hours per week: 15
Main duties of the job
The role of the CDS Dentist is to provide a comprehensive range of dental treatment and oral care, using a variety of modalities including local anaesthetic, familiarisation techniques, relaxation techniques and sedation for special care patients and paediatric exodontia patients, who meet the criteria for acceptance for treatment within our service.
The role includes working flexibly as part of an established team, playing an active role in audit, service development and patient care. To work across clinic locations when required to support patient and service needs. Ensuring the provision of domiciliary care in residential homes, patients own homes and care facilities is carried out in a timely manner.
