Job summary
  The Clinical Lead Community Dental Service is a managerial & clinical role. Primarily it involves managing the team & delivering a combination of special care & paediatric dentistry for referred patients, many of whom have additional & complex needs.
The post includes management responsibilities & supporting clinical colleagues working alongside you. As a valued member of the Community Dental Service, you will provide high quality dental care to special care adults & children with complex additional needs &/or disabilities. Our service is dedicated to assisting medically compromised patients who require treatment in a community dental service setting, as well as supporting anxious children for routine exodontia. Additionally, you'll have the opportunity to bring your expertise directly to patients in their own homes, nursing, and care settings during domiciliary care.
Hours per week: 26.25
  Main duties of the job
  The main duties of the Clinical Lead Community Dental Service post includes having advanced knowledge, clinical skills & expertise demonstrated by a postgraduate dental qualification &/or relevant experience in Special Care or Paediatric Dentistry, to lead the service. The post holder will, contribute to the planning & development of the service and of colleagues, whilst monitoring performance & activity alongside the Clinical Service Manager an Operational Manager.

 NHS Medical and Dental salaries are set at a national level. For new starters not already working to UK Medical and Dental terms and conditions of service will be appointed to the minimum paypoint. The starting salary paypoint can only be increased when there is evidence of relevant, completed years' experience in terms of nature, type and level of role. The evidence required to increase a starting salary would be Payslips and details noted in the application form i.e. complete employment history
