Job summary
  Applications are invited from highly motivated and dynamic Resident Doctors to apply for Junior Clinical Fellow posts, F2 Equivalent Level, to work within the Emergency Department to contribute to the delivery of high quality care for patients both during the day and out of hours.
 The successful candidate must possess a basic medical degree e.g. MBBS or equivalent, full GMC registration with a licence to practise and have completed a minimum of Foundation Year 2 training or equivalent. A minimum of 12 months experience working at junior level (or higher) within the NHS is desirable and the successful candidate must be able to demonstrate appropriate competencies at minimum FY2 level.
 In order to ensure your transition and ongoing support in your role at East Cheshire Trust a package of support will be provided for you which will include, a paid 1 week structured induction within the department you will work. A designated educational and clinical supervisor for the duration of your placement at the trust and the use of a personalised 'Horus' portfolio in which to document your clinical/extracurricular activities. Additionally, a £500 study leave budget, pro rata if working less than full time, will be available to you to support course attendance.

  Main duties of the job
  The successful candidate will participate in a 1:8 full shift rota which operates with a first and second on call (on a 1:8 basis), covering day time activities in General Theatres & resident overnight on call.
 Duties will include senior-supervised theatre sessions, providing anaesthetic support to the ED, attendance on acute pain ward rounds, and the care of critically ill patients throughout the hospital.
 Although this post is not recognised for training and cannot be signed off for achievement of core training competencies, you will be encouraged to attend departmental teaching for professional development and you will be well supported by senior colleagues.
 The basic salary for this role is outlined above based on a 40 hour working week. In addition, there will be enhancements for additional rostered hours (over 40), night rate hours and weekend working allowance in line with the relevant Nodal Point under the new Junior Doctor Contract 2016 pay scales. The value of the enhancement for the role can be provided upon request, however, this is subject to any future rota changes in line with service need.
