Therapy Associate Practitioner- Neuro Community Therapies

Job summary

East Cheshire NHS Trust has an exciting opportunity available for a suitably qualified Assistant Practitioner to become part of our specialised neuro therapy team within the community.

We welcome applications from motivated individuals with a keen interest in working within an integrated team, with proven experience in neuro rehabilitation, in patient rehabilitation or general community rehabilitation.

Hours per week: 15

Please be advised we are unable to provide Skilled Worker Visa Sponsorship to non-UK residents.

Main duties of the job

To work as part of a small neuro therapy team providing a comprehensive, rehabilitation service for patients with a broad range of neurological conditions.

You will be responsible for the delivery of therapy independently or jointly with the therapists in patients own homes, residential and nursing homes.

To contribute to multidisciplinary team management.

To contribute to operational delivery and service development.

The community neuro therapy service is operational over 7 days, from 8am-8pm. You may occasionally be required to work a variety of shift patterns across the 7 day service, to meet service need.

  • 5 GCSE's including English and Maths or equivalent
  • BTEC National Diploma or equivalent in a relevant subject

Desirable

  • Assistant membership of a relevant professional body
  • Completion of a Foundation Degree in Health & Social Care
  • Successful completion or currently undertaking an ECDL (European Computer Driving Licence)
