This is a great opportunity for a B5 nurse to join the Tissue Viability Service.
The Tissue Viability Service is looking for a dedicated and committed registered nurse who is passionate about patient care and pressure ulcer prevention. Has experience and a depth of knowledge in caring for patients of all ages, can identify all forms of pressure damage, and be able to categorise pressure damage, implement a plan of care to address and prevent deterioration of any pressure damage. while working with nursing teams to promote best practice and ensure policy is followed.
Hours per week: 37.5

Main duties of the job
Undertake clinical tasks agreed within competence to the specific clinical area.
Take responsibility for patients and contribute to ongoing assessment recognising when it is necessary to refer to other professionals as appropriate.
Daily review of pressure ulcer incidences and identify patients with pressure damage for review .
Ward visits and face to face reviews of patients to confirm the category of pressure damage.
Advocate for best practice in patient care and pressure ulcer prevention.
Face to face Review of patients with Tissue viability services as needed.
Undertake ward audits for correct pressure ulcer prevention devises.
Have full understanding of how all pressure ulcer prevention devises including mattresses are to be used.
Daily update of spread sheets/ incident reports with detailed information of pressure ulcer damage.
Improve the quality of care by contributing to the continuous monitoring of people's experience of care.
Ensure the privacy, dignity and safety of individuals is always maintained
