The Practice Development Nurse Associate (PDNA) plays a vital role in supporting the professional growth and clinical development of Healthcare Assistants (HCA's) and nursing staff while enhancing the overall quality of patient care. By promoting evidence-based practice, facilitating continuous learning, and contributing to service improvement initiatives, the PDNA ensures high standards of nursing practice across multidisciplinary teams.
Hours per week: 37.5

Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for supporting clinical education in both classroom-based and practice settings across hospital and community environments. Working under the management and direction of the Practice Development Nurse Team and the Professional Practice Team, the post holder will contribute to the delivery and facilitation of high-quality educational initiatives aligned with organisational priorities.
A key focus of the role will be supporting the implementation of foundational training for Health Care Support Workers (HCSWs), including facilitating the achievement of Healthcare Assistant (HCA) competencies. The post holder will also be involved in delivering education and training on a range of clinical skills -- including the safe use of medical devices and other essential procedures -- to multidisciplinary staff groups, within the boundaries of their scope of competence, in both acute and community care settings.
