An exciting opportunity has arisen for a one day a week, 7.5 hours secondment into the safeguarding team. The secondment is for 12 months. This post would ideally suit a registered nurse or an allied health professional who has in depth knowledge and experience of working with adults at risk.
The Safeguarding team is an Integrated Safeguarding team including Midwifery, Children, Adults and Domestic Abuse. This supports the Think Family approach, securing better outcomes for adults, children and families by coordinating the support and delivery of services both at East Cheshire Trust and with the wider agencies.
The successful applicant will provide professional support to the Named Nurse for Safeguarding Adults.
Hours per week: 7.50

Main duties of the job
The post holder will demonstrate a high level of expertise in relation to the safeguarding of adults and provide supervision, specialist advice, education and support to health care professionals who are working with adults who are at risk of/ experiencing abuse or who have care and support needs.
The post holder will work closely with all levels of staff within the organisation and be a point of contact in relation to the safeguarding of adults. The post holder will work closely with personnel from partner agencies.
The post holder will be responsible for contributing to the on-going development of clinical practice, including supporting the named nurse in the development of policies, protocols and guidelines and contribute to service development in collaboration with multi-disciplinary colleagues.
The post holder will actively participate in clinical audits.
The post holder will work with the named nurse to devise, plan, implement and deliver programmes of training in relation to safeguarding adults.
