The Workforce Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Manager will sit within the People & Communications Directorate, providing expert knowledge on all matters relating to Workforce Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI).
With responsibility for the delivery and implementation of the Trust's EDI strategy, the post-holder will lead on the development and delivery of the Trust's EDI Strategy and Plan, aimed at improving the working lives and supporting the career development of colleagues with protected characteristics.
The post-holder will work with a wider stakeholder group, including the Trust's People Promise Manager and Communications Team to ensure a consistent approach is taken to all communications relating to EDI and the perspective of underrepresented groups and people with protected characteristics is taken into account.
Acting as a role model for others in the directorate and organisation, the post-holder will work to ensure there is a focus on improving the experience of people with protected characteristics.
Hours per week: 37.5
Main duties of the job
Develop and implement a Trust EDI Strategy, supported by an annual EDI workplan and EDI communications strategy.
Ensure that relevant and current EDI statutory requirements are met through timely review and robust processes for evidence collation - this will include Gender Pay Gap, WRES, WDES and EDS reporting.Preparation of results feedback, identifying and proposing key areas for improvement, ensuring key stakeholders are aware of the feedback and are involved in the development of local improvement plans. Produce assurance reports for Trust committees in relation to EDI responsibilities.
Usingcolleague experience and national drivers / changes in legislation, leada range of projects aimed at improving the experience of colleagues with protected characteristics.
Develop and deliver EDI educational programmes and provide support to others, actively contributing to the development and implementation of EDI work across the organisation.
Lead the development of local staff networks, ensuring positive working relationships with trade union colleagues and supporting network sponsors and leads to engage and grow their communities.
