East Cheshire NHS Trust is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Workshop Manager to work within the Estates & Facilities Department.
As a member of the Estates & Facilities Team you will be accountable for monitoring and managing the Estates Workshop overseeing the management of both planned and reactive maintenance requirements across the Trust's premises on the main sites and in the community, with the ability to provide technical support and guidance.
This is a Secondment position until 31st March 2026
37.5 hours per week
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will need to be a strong leader with a proven track record in management and will be responsible for the supervision of the Estates Multi-skilled Maintenance Technicians, ensuring that the end user / customer receives a responsive and quality assured service.
You will support and assist the organisation on operational issues in relation to all property matters, including projects, managing contractors in the implementation of maintenance works, within time, cost and quality constraints and ensure statutory requirements and best practice guidance.
The post holder will need to have outstanding communication and organisational skills and will attend management level meetings for the Trust in addition to providing input on all Estates related Maintenance issues and ensure a timely response, prioritising of work and statutory compliance.
This is an exciting time to be joining the department with significant investment and development of the current Estate.
Predominately based at Macclesfield District General Hospital but travel to other sites in the community may be required.

- Must have a recognised Apprenticeship to City & Guilds Apprentice in an electrical or mechanical field with significant post qualification experience
- Or minimum qualification of BTEC or in electrical, mechanical or building services that equates to BTEC/HNC standard with good knowledge and Evidence of continuing Professional Development
- Or a degree in relevant discipline
- A IOSH (Institution of Occupational Safety and Health) Health & Safety Certificate
- First Aid certificate
