As a Health Care Assistant here at East Cheshire NHS Trust, you will be working alongside teams of professionals to ensure our patients receive the best possible care and the most positive outcome. You will be the patient advocate, ensuring they are comfortable, supported, well looked after and most importantly listened to. Our Health Care Assistants provide hands-on care, empathy, and encouragement to enable a more comfortable stay and support recovery.
We currently have full and part-time permanent vacancies across our various clinical specialties.

Main duties of the job

Main duties of the job
- Providing patients with food and drink and assisting where needed
- Escorting and assisting patients in visiting the toilet, washing and getting dressed
- Supporting wound and skin management
- Recording and documenting patient observations e.g. temperature
- Recognising signs of deterioration and progression through observation and conversation and escalating any such matters promptly.
- Liaising with doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, porters and social workers
- Supporting the routine of the ward including responding to visitor and patient needs
