Job summary
The Podiatry service has a specialist Biomechanics team and this role will lead the teampodiatrists who specialise in biomechanicsand provide expert knowledge in biomechanics.
The service provides routine nail care for high risk patients, wound care, nail surgery, biomechanical assessment and orthotic provision, and a domiciliary service.
The service is offered in variety of settings across a large geographical area, including hospital inpatients, community clinics, health centres and GP surgeries providing a range of advanced clinical foot services to the local population.The successful candidate will need to be a team player withexcellent clinical, communication and organisational skills. They will alsorequire a positive attitude to personal and professional development.Travel is an integral part of this post and you must state on your application form how you intend to fulfil this essential requirement.

Main duties of the job
We are looking to recruitan Advanced Clinical Specialist Podiatrist inBiomechanics to join the East Cheshire NHS Trust Community Podiatry Service. The successful candidates will formpart of theEast Cheshire community podiatry team.
You must hold a BSc (Hons) in Podiatry or a Diploma in Podiatric Medicine, together with a Certificate in Local Anaesthesia. Evidence of Continued Professional Development is also essential.
The post requires knowledge and understanding of recent changes within the NHS.Experience working in the community at specialist podiatrist leveland advanced clinical knowledge of Biomechanics is essential.
