Job summary

An opportunity has arisen for a temporary band 6 Nurse/Midwife to join our Neonatal team in our friendly, level 1 unit at East Cheshire NHS Trust. We are seeking enthusiastic and highly motivated Nurses/Midwives with excellent clinical skills and enthusiasm for Neonatal care to join our friendly and supportive team. We strive to provide the highest quality care for the babies and families of East Cheshire, with a focus on Family Integrated Care (FIC).

There are 23 hours available at Band 6 on a Day/Night shift pattern

Applications are invited from nurses currently working as a Band 6 in a Neonatal Unit or suitably qualified band 5 nurses (QIS) with relevant experience on a neonatal unit.

Fixed Term until August 2024.

Main duties of the job

Band 6 Nurse/Midwife will be the shift leader of our 8 bedded unit and will have the opportunity to become involved in various Champion roles, eg/ TC, BFI, FIC. We will offer the opportunity to exercise their experience and skills and have a direct input into how the unit functions.
