Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity for a Mammographer to join our friendly and motivated multidisciplinary team at East Cheshire and Stockport Breast Screening Programme, as a Bank Mammographer providing essential cover and additional capacity for the service.
Static Screening is performed at the Breast Screening Centre's at Macclesfield, where we have 2 Siemens Inspiration Digital mammography sets, with stereo attachment and tomosynthesis. A busy symptomatic service is also provided from the Centre with stereotactic procedures and vacuum assisted biopsies. Screening in Stockport is provided on a mobile van with Siemens digital mammography. You will be an experienced mammographer with a post graduate Mammography qualification.
You will need excellent communications skills and an extensive knowledge of the National Health Breast Screening Programme and its aims. You will need to have a flexible approach to service provision which will can involve evening and weekend clinics at the Breast Screening Centre and Mobile Van sites in Stockport. You will need to be a car user with a valid driving license. A genuine occupational qualification applies to these posts under section 6 of the Sex Discrimination Act of 1975 and therefore they are restricted to female applicants only.
