Job summary

**This position is open to staff working at the Trust in the 'ECT Family' this includes currentEast Cheshire NHS Trust employees,bank staff, ISS staff and volunteers at the Trust.**

An exciting opportunity has arisen for the right individual to help us develop a new post at East Cheshire NHS Trust. Working as a member of the Acute and Integrated Care Directorate, the successful applicant will provide visible and accessible leadership to staff working in community services, virtual wards, Urgent Care Response and private care home and domiciliary care providers.

The key focus for this role will be on supporting the delivery of a high standard of care and positive experience for patients in our community beds and those receiving home care as part of a multidisciplinary package.

The successful applicant will have the opportunity to develop close working relationships with partners including the local authority and voluntary sector and be supported by the senior leadership team to foster a culture that values innovation.

Main duties of the job

The Clinical Matron will provide visible, accessible leadership to services within their given area of responsibility including private care home and domiciliary care providers and virtual wards.

The Clinical Matron will lead and support these areas ensuring all national and local quality standards are met including those related to patient flow through community beds.

To ensure a consistent and co-ordinated approach to the operational management and service provision throughout the area of responsibility as described above.

To ensure the provision of effective high quality compassionate patient care.

To develop and maintain close links with all appropriate stakeholders regarding implementation of agreed care pathways and achievement of local and national standards across both primary and secondary care.

To monitor financial performance against all delegated services, influence and support budget holders in the effective management of those budgets.

To work jointly with the Clinical Leads and Service Line / Operational Managers and Care Community Coaches in ensuring that developments and service improvements are centred on the needs of the patient.

To deliver those quality indicators within the scope of responsibility and work with other Trust personnel in the delivery of all quality indicators.

To lead and develop a culture and an environment in which staff are valued and respected.

To foster a culture of innovation that produces high standards of clinical service delivery.
