Job summary
The Preoperative Assessment service within East Cheshire NHS Trust is looking for a dynamic individual with excellent communication, organisational and secretarial skills to support the administration function within a clinical setting over 25.5 hours weekly.
The Pre operative assessment service provides a comprehensive health screen to patients undergoing elective surgery to ensure their surgery is safe and effective ensuring a positive outcome.
Hours per week 25.50
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate's responsibilities will involve a range of duties including managing patient appointments, knowledge of the hospital administration system, direct patient contact, typing, filing and dealing with general enquiries. You will work within a busy team of Specialist nurses and small Admin team. The role will support any booking of appointments required for COVID19 testing in elective patients. It will provide support to the CQUINN system by collecting and inputting data onto spreadsheets.
As an interested applicant you will have a good working knowledge of IT systems, keyboard/typing skills. The ability to be able to work as part of a team is vital in this role and you must be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and be empathetic in dealing with sensitive telephone calls from patients and their relatives.
