This rewarding role involves providing comprehensive treatment and tailored oral health advice to priority and vulnerable groups, often within complex clinical, physical, social, or intellectual contexts, while working in alignment with integrated care pathways and the Service's contractual commitments. Provide high-quality preventative and clinical dental services across primary, secondary, and community settings, including vulnerable and hard-to-reach groups.
Undertake treatment under General Anaesthesia and Conscious Sedation, including full pre-operative assessment and post-operative care.
Lead and coordinate the efficient daily running of the clinical environment, ensuring safe practice, equipment maintenance, and adherence to Health & Safety standards.
Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, carers, and external professionals, including organising and leading best-interest meetings where required.
Provide specialist advice, clinical supervision, and support to Dental Officers and colleagues, contributing to CPD, audit, and wider clinical governance activities.
Deliver dental care for adults with special needs, behavioural challenges, phobias, or complex medical conditions, including domiciliary visits and minor oral surgery.
The post holder will cover 8 sessions per week that will be made up of 1-2 GA's sessions, 6-7 clinical sessions which may include general practice/domiciliary care/sedation.
