Job summary
The post holder will be a valued member of the IAAU/SDEC Department team, working to support the busy clinical environment and the nursing and caring staff, they will have a dedicated role in providing and maintaining the departments standards of cleanliness and hygiene in line with departmental and trust processes and policies on the shop floor and non-clinical areas such as the relatives room and staff well-being areas.
Main duties of the job
The postholders specific responsibilities within the team should be carried out under the supervision of the nurse in charge and are focused on maintaining high standards of cleanliness in relation to patient environment e.g. clinical rooms, clinical equipment and non-clinical areas such as the store rooms. The role will require you to order stock and non-stock items, replenish and restock the store room and clinical trolleys in conjunction with a trained member of staff, ensure general tidiness within the clinical areas is maintained in areas such as the dirty utilities and staff bases, there will also be an expectation for the staff areas in the staff only zone to be maintained to a high standard.
