Job summary

Humber Health Partnership is seeking to appoint a Group Chief Delivery Officer to join the organisation at the start of its improvement journey. This is an Executive voting role, which will report to the Group CEO. The Chief Delivery Officer will be integral to the senior leadership team and to the implementation and delivery of the newly developed three phased improvement programme.

The role has group-wide responsibility for improving performance and the delivery of the national constitutional standards and will lead on delivery of specific programmes of improvement, innovation and transformation. The role requires an individual who is already working at Board level as a Chief Operating/Chief Delivery Officer in an acute provider and will have demonstrable operational management skills coupled with influencing, partnering, and leadership experience.

The selection process will take place on the 10th and 11th November.

Main duties of the job

The Chief Delivery Officer will be responsible for the delivery and the improvement in performance of the NHS Constitutional Standards including Urgent and Emergency Care, Referral to Treatment, Cancer and Diagnostics. The Chief Delivery Officer will also be responsible for reporting all aspects of operational performance to the Trust Board, ICB and NHSE, including benchmarking and trajectories.

The role will be part of a Group Executive Director team as well as a unitary Board member and will be an effective team player in working collaboratively with executive colleagues to deliver the organisation's strategic priorities. You will focus on ensuring the organisation is able to successfully deliver its three-phase improvement plan.

As Group Chief Delivery Officer, you will need to be creative and flexible as you will participate in the continued evolution of the clinical pathways across the Integrated Care System, working to define ground-breaking service design that transcends traditional organisational boundaries and instead, focuses on the wider population.

The role of Group Chief Delivery Officer will provide strong visible leadership for the operational delivery across the five hospitals. The Group Chief Delivery Officer has a crucial function in overseeing complex and interconnected hospital and community-based delivery within a wider Integrated Care System and ensuring all are aligned against an agreed improvement plan for the organisation.
