We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an Accounts Assistant to join our Management Accounts Department at Northern Lincolnshire & Goole NHS Foundation Trust.
If you have been considering a career in Finance then this is a perfect opportunity to gain some experience of NHS Finance whilst studying towards an accounting qualification.
We are looking for high calibre, motivated individuals, interested in working in an accounting role within the NHS. You must be flexible, a good team player, able to work independently with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A good standard of GCSE education (or equivalent) of at least 5 passes which must include English and Maths.
You must also be IT literate with a good working knowledge of MS office applications. Experience of working in an accounting or finance department would be advantageous, however, is not essential.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be part of the management accounting team, and is responsible for assisting in the provision of accounting services to the Trust.
The post holder will carry out accounting, administrative and clerical duties, as directed, under the supervision of the senior members of the accounting team.
This includes;
The completion of routine financial transactions.
Perform data entry of month end journal entries
Analyse and reconcile financial data using various data outputs and systems.
Create, maintain and distribute monthly financial performance reports.
Working to tight deadlines.
