Job summary

This is an exciting time to join our Trust as we are now working under a newly formed 'Group' structure with Hull University Teaching Hospitals.

As one of our HR Business Partners you will form part of an established HR team driving the 'People Plan' in conjunction with the Care Groups and Corporate Directorates 'Group Plans', through a Business Partner model approach with the aim of creating a positive employee experience for our workforce.

We are seeking to appoint a HR professional with a strong knowledge of HR practices in complex employee relations casework, with a passion for driving positive change within our organisation. You will join our team of HR Business Partners on a permanent basis due to the retirement of the current post holder.

This is a hybrid post to be based at either Scunthorpe General Hospital or the Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital in Grimsby, incorporating cross site working with the ability to work flexibly from home. A condensed / flexible working pattern is also an option.

You will be required to interpret and apply HR policies and procedures and Employment Law and have knowledge of workforce planning. A Masters Degree level CIPD qualification or equivalent and/ or demonstrable level of occupational experience is required.

Main duties of the job

Reporting to the Senior HR Business Partner, the successful applicant will work as a key partner to the leadership teams to influence and shape the people agenda, supporting the development and delivery of Human Resources people plans and priorities ensuring alignment with the overarching People strategies.

The post holder will provide business insight into the formulation of Human Resources strategies driving value across the Care Groups/ Directorates. In addition, they will support the business function on people related issues, implementing Human Resources programmes and people interventions. This post will act as the Human Resources expert and lead with organisational design, restructuring programmes and change interventions.

They will work with key stakeholders within the Groups to ensure robust workforce practice, commercial viability and ultimately support the delivery of excellent patient care. This will include supporting the development of managers through a coaching approach in order to fulfil their people responsibilities.

The successful candidate must be able to build rapport with Trust managers in order to support them with the people agenda. Applicants must have experience within a complex and fast paced environment together with sound knowledge and demonstrable experience of working in a HR Business Partner / Manager level role or as an experienced Senior HR Advisor.
