Job summary

This advert is for 1 x 12 month fixed-term post within the Medicine Division.

The post holder will provide day-to-day operational management support to the Business Manager and Assistant General Manager.

Working within clearly defined Trust policies the post holder will lead the team responsible for the effective delivery of clinical administration services and systems and will have delegated responsibility for the management of identified personnel.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will provide day-to-day operational management support to the Assistant General Manager and Business Manager.

The post holder will also have delegated responsibility for the management of identified personnel, resources and projects, and will ensure that those resources are managed efficiently and effectively, adjusting plans and moving resources as and when necessary, and that any projects are delivered on time and within budget. They will lead the team responsible for the effective delivery of clinical administration and systems.As part of the Medicine Management Team, the post holder will assist those with joint responsibility for the Divisions objectives and ensure that they are achieved.

Education and Qualifications

Essential

  • oSound educational background at least 5 GCSEs or equivalent.
  • oSuccessful Management and Team Leadership Certificate or equivalent.
  • oTyping/keyboard qualification
  • oRSA III or equivalent.

Occupational Experience

Essential

  • oAt least 5 years administrative experience in the NHS.
  • oEvidence of working with senior personnel.

Desirable

  • oSupervisory experience
  • oBusiness or Professional Qualification
