Job summary

We currently have a great opportunity for a talented Joiner/Building Fabric Multiskilled Craftsperson with a good understanding of heating and ventilation. The role is within the maintenance team at Goole District Hospital.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will undertake works relating to the maintenance and repairs of Trust properties, equipment, grounds & gardens ensuring compliance with Statutory requirements, HTM's, Trust Policies and procedures to ensure a clean, safe and functional environment for patients, public and staff to support the delivery of patient care.

Education and Qualifications

Essential

  • oONC / HNC or equivalent level 5 apprenticeship Diploma in joinery, building fabrics or construction HNC
  • oOr relevant demonstrable experience in joinery or building fabrics works commensurate with the requirements of the role
  • oA level 3 Leadership qualification or willing to work towards
  • oLevel 2 English & Maths or effective standard of spoken English and use of mathematics.
  • oA recognised form of computer skills training for Spreadsheets/ databases or ability to demonstrate effective use of programmes.

Desirable

  • oHND in construction engineering or other equivalent.

Occupational Experience

Essential

  • oProven relevant experience working on breakdowns and PPM's on mechanical / plumbing plant and equipment found in the hospital environment.

Desirable

  • oExperience of supervising maintenance teams
