Are you a band 6 midwife looking for an exciting change ?
We have vacancies for part time and full time hours available within the Family Services division for enthusiastic and motivated Midwives to provide a high standard of care within our friendly and supportive community midwifery team.
The successful post holder will provide ante-natal, post-natal and intrapartum care to women and their families.
Our Community Midwifery team prides themselves on person - centered care ,working in partnership with all agencies within the community to achieve this.
The midwife will work within the sphere of practice in accordance with NMC codes of practice and professional guidelines.
Main duties of the job
We are looking to recruit innovative and dynamic Registered Midwives who have a passion for midwifery and who would like to be a part of shaping maternity services of the future. We welcome innovation and the contribution of all staff and stakeholders who have an interest in maternity services.
The post holder will provide antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care for women and their families that inclusively respect the rights of the patients whilst practising within the NMC Code and supported by local policies and guidelines.

- oRegistered Midwife eligible to be on live register
- oEvidence of post registration development in midwifery
Desirable
- Degree in Midwifery or working towards a degree
- oManagement qualification
- oLeadership qualification
- oDiploma in Midwifery or evidence of recent relevant CPD at diploma level
- oQualified mentor (ENB 998, or equivalent) or equivalent mentorship award
- oQualified NVQ Assessor (A1 or equivalent) or working towards

- oUp to date mandatory training in fire, infection control, Basic Life Support and moving and handling

- oTraining in handling and administration of blood
