The Cost Improvement & Efficiency Team is a multidisciplinary team in finance directorate with responsible for:

1. Leading the organisational cost improvement and efficiency programme;2. Developing benefits management practices and principles;3. Leading enabling finance function transformation projects.

We have a vacancy for a Senior Finance Analyst - this would be a level 7 apprenticeship in which you could achieve a fully-funded professional qualification depending on current knowledge, skills and experience.

Main duties of the job

This is an opportunity to develop your career within finance and/ or business analysis. In this role you would analyse data to identify, understand and present complex business problems and solutions in a way that is highly effective, secure and ethical. Providing you meet the essential qualification requirements; we can support you in attaining a relevant professional qualification, funded via the apprenticeship levy. We will also ensure you are offered experiential opportunities to complement your academic learning. Providing you successfully complete all agreed learning and development objectives, you will move from Band 5 to Band 6 on completion. This is a multi-disciplinary team within the finance directorate, there is therefore some flexibility on qualification, but this would be agreed at the outset based on business need and individual career aspirations. For example, you could complete the CIMA level 7 apprenticeship, or an equivalent programme within a similar, relevant discipline.
