We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and highly motivated nurse to join our Lung Cancer Screening Programme. You will be expected to provide support, information and advice to patients undergoing lung health assessments and liaise with colleagues and wider health care community. The ideal candidate will have post registration experience working in Respiratory Medicine, cancer or community settings.

Part of the role will require face to face clinics in the Staffordshire area with the base being at the Bridge Centre Birches Head.
Main duties of the job
Key Areas/Tasks
Communicates highly sensitive condition related information to patients and relatives.
To use specialist knowledge and advanced communication skills with patients while reviewing them in the 'virtual', primary and secondary care setting
Will provide empathy and reassurance regarding the sensitive nature of the information being relayed to them
Demonstrate excellent communication skills when dealing with difficult situations
To act as a resource to provide specialist knowledge and expertise to patients, their families and other healthcare professionals.
Support the provision of helpline services run from the hub by resolving queries referred by them to the screening centre
To provide advice, information and support for those making direct contact with the screening centre
Continuous Improvement
