We are looking for anenthusiasticand autonomousSenior Therapy Technical Instructorto join theMedicalTherapies Directorate at Royal Stoke University Hospital, working within the Frail Elderly Therapies Team.
This is a permanent position, working 37.5 hours per week.
The provisional interview date for this vacancy is Monday 13th April 2026.
The successful applicant will be involved in early rehabilitation and discharge planning for the frail elderly population across 6 busy, acute inpatient wards, working with a range of different conditions and patients who require a multidisciplinary approach. Therefore, the applicant should have a keen interest in frail elderly within Stoke and the surrounding areas, and an awareness of rehabilitation and discharge planning for this population. The applicant will work across occupational therapy and physiotherapy roles, gaining competencies across both professions.
Main duties of the job
Supervision will be provided by the Band 6/7 Occupational Therapist/Physiotherapist and continuous professional development is supported through appraisal and internal and external training.
The post holder will be required provide support and supervision for more junior staff and students, and contribute to the training and development of staff within team and wider therapy department.
Therapy Services work within a 7 day shift system therefore the post holder will be required to work weekends and bank holidays as part of their role.
