Job summary
To work as a Clinic Nurse Manager in a supportive rotational role, providing cross-site cover as required to ensure service continuity and high standards of patient care. The post holder will offer visible clinical leadership and operational support to departments, working flexibly across sites to meet service needs. Responsibilities include supporting teams clinically, assisting with sickness absence management in line with organisational policy, and ensuring the timely completion of staff appraisals and performance reviews. The role also involves promoting staff wellbeing and professional development, maintaining governance and safety standards, and collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality care.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will act as an approachable, professional, and compassionate leader, demonstrating excellent communication skills and providing visible, supportive leadership to staff within the department. They will foster a positive working environment through clear, open, and effective communication, ensuring high standards of patient care and staff wellbeing are maintained. The role requires the ability to provide clinical support where necessary to maintain safety and effective service delivery within the departments. The post holder will provide cross-cover for annual leave and other periods of absence, ensuring consistent leadership and operational stability to support the smooth running of the service. In addition, they will actively support and help lead change in line with the organisation's transformation programme, engaging staff in service developments and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
