Job summary
At present, University Hospitals of North Midlands is unable to offer visa sponsorship for Band 2 to Band 4 roles, as these positions do not meet the minimum salary and skill thresholds required under UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) regulations.
In relation to Band 3 Senior Clinical Support Worker roles, we are currently able to recruit successfully from the domestic labour market and have a sufficient pool of suitably qualified and appointable candidates. As a result, visa sponsorship is not available for this role at this time. This position is kept under regular review and may change in the future should labour market conditions or service requirements alter.
Interviews
If you are shortlisted for an interview for this role, you must bring evidence of the following qualifications:
- GCSE Maths and English at grade C/4 or Level 2 Functional Skills for Maths and English.
If you hold overseas GCSE equivalent qualifications, you will need to bring an ECCTIS comparability statement for you GCSE equivalent qualifications along with your original certificate
- A Full Care CertificateORNVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (we can only accept NVQ's from a regulated awarding body).
If you do not bring the above qualifications to your interview, then the interview will not proceed.
Medical Outpatients is a busy environment on a daily basis and supports with a wide range of clinics. Their is opportunity to work with a wide range of the multi disciplinary team on a daily basis. There will also be lots of engagement with communicating with patients.
Main duties of the job
To support the multi disciplinary team with pre clinic checks which vary from clinic to clinic. The tests required could include: observations, height, weight, bmi, laboratory specimens and ecg's.
To work alongside colleagues in a supportive manner and also help with some elements of caring responsibilities when supporting patients if needed.
