Pharmacy Production Officer - Technical Services
We are looking to recruit a highly motivated individual to join our well established team in Pharmacy Technical Services.
The MHRA licenced 'Specials' pharmacy manufacturing unit is based at the Royal Stoke University Hospital and is a modern purpose built unit within the hospital. The service encompasses aseptic, chemotherapy and pre-pack (over labelling and repackaging products) supplying both the Trust and external organisations. As a department we constantly strive to re-engineer our services to improve our delivery of patient focused pharmaceutical care and customer satisfaction.
Main duties of the job
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and self-motivated Production Officer to work with our team in Pharmacy Technical Services.
The successful candidate will work within our Aseptic and Chemotherapy unit and will be required to set up and prepare medicines made within Pharmacy Technical Services. The post holder will be expected to understand and follow standard operating procedures.
The role includes undertaking relevant training, both external and internal in aspects of Pharmacy Services and associated technical activities where required.
In addition, the post holder will be required to assist with the operation and maintenance of quality systems ensuring compliance with the terms of the MHRA Manufacturing "Specials" Licence regarding all compounding and manufacturing processes.
