Senior Therapeutic Radiographer

Job summary

To work for 37.5 hrs/week working with the multidisciplinary team in Radiotherapy to provide a quality service to our patients. We operate a 7 day a week service, with a full treatment service delivered Monday to Friday, and on call and emergency service over the weekends. We offer some flexible shift patterns to be able to offer a slightly extended day but when maintenance is done on the Linacs the day is stretched to 8-8 days. We work 5 public holidays as 'normal ' days but these days can be booked as annual leave if desired.

If successful the candidate will rotate around the department, working on both our Halcyon and TrueBeam Linacs, CT, Superficial and Brachytherapy areas.

As a Band 6 you will be integral to the management of the area you are working in, and will be responsible for supporting the senior staff on set and supporting the junior staff students and apprentices.

Main duties of the job

To work as a member of the Therapeutic Radiography team rotating through all sections of the department, under the supervision of the section leader. To deliver a high quality, accurate radiotherapy service, which is responsive to the social and healthcare needs of the individual patient. To supervise junior staff and students.
