The successful candidate will be committed to giving our patients and referrers the very best quality and care of service.
The CT scabbing department currently has 9 state of the art CT scanner, soon to be increasing to 11 with the planned opening of the UHNM Community Diagnostic Centre in 2026. We provide support to a wide range of referrers including the Level 1 Major Trauma centre, Vascular and Neuro Intervention, Paediatric, MSK and Oncology services.
Being a part of the University Hospital of North Midlands brings with it the opportunity to contribute to the training of student radiographers on their clinical placement and of CT Radiographers on their Band 5/6 preceptorship.
Main duties of the job
Your day to day role will include:
- efficient and effective use of CT capacity, cross site.
- demonstrate strong leadership qualities to achieve Trust and Imaging. targets, including efficient, safe and well organised patient flows.
- to facilitate adhere hance to policy and procedure and to encourage in other CT staff members.
- collaborative working with other professions in the hospital.
- taking part in all aspects of Governance, i.e. Datix, Risk Assessments.
- to be RPS representative for CT scanning.
- to be proactive in the recruitment and retention of staff within the team.
- participate in Leadership training as required.
