Job summary

University Hospitals of North Midlands is currently unable to provide sponsorship this role. The Frailty Assessment Unit (FAU) is a bespoke 6 bedded frailty assessment unit with a multidisciplinary workforce supporting safe, person-centred and efficient care pathways.

Interviews

  • GCSE Maths and English at grade C/4 or Level 2 Functional Skills for Maths and English.

  • A Full Care CertificateORNVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (we can only accept NVQ's from a regulated awarding body

Main duties of the job

They should be able to work independently within their sphere of nursing while under the supervision of registered nurses and demonstrate a level of skill and understanding which enables them to undertake specific skills and tasks delegated by the registered nurse and in accordance with relevant procedures, guidelines and policies at UHNM.

Key to this role is flexibility with the requirement for staff to work variable shifts over 7 days a week on a week by week basis within agreed limits. Currently the Frailty Assessment Unit is open Monday to Friday but will be extending to a 7 day service. No night shifts.

This role requires the following qualifications and documents to be provided as part of the recruitment and selection process for this role, if you are offered a role and unable to provide these documents, we are afraid the offer will be withdrawn:

  • GCSEs or equivalent Certificate for Maths and English, equivalent to current Level 4/ C or level 2 functional skills Maths/English

Although it may seem frustrating if you have completed a degree in the UK or other professional qualifications our policy states we must have GCSEs or equivalent as part of the requirements for this role.
