Job summary
University Hospitals of North Midlands is currently unable to provide sponsorship this role. This is in accordance with UKVI guidelines and legislation, as these roles do not meet the skill nor salary threshold for sponsorship. If you hold a graduate visa, you are welcome to apply for this role however it is important to note that UHNM will be unable to offer sponsorship at the end of your graduate visa, you must also have at least six months until your graduate visa expires at the start of your employment for training and operational reasons.
The post holder is responsible for the patient's journey from receipt of referral to appointment. To provide a proficient and effective system, in order to achieve the trusts targets. Identify, analyse and resolve issues relating to the patient pathway. To ensure that any subsequent appointment is patient focussed, efficient and effective.
Main duties of the job
-To undertake clerical duties, this includes providing and receiving routine information requiring tact or persuasive skills. Communicates tactfully with patients, staff about appointments or any other queries deemed necessary.
- Communicates with patients and their relatives who are telephoning to update their personal details and change cancel appointments.
- Resolves issues relating to appointments, or any general enquiries.
- Ensuring that all new referrals received are logged ensuring a high level of accuracy on Careflow within the required timescales as per the Access Policy.
-Record information provided by the patient when rearranging or cancelling an appointment or booking into a clinic.
Incorporating use of all the Trusts systems including: Choose and Book, Patient Administration system, Savience, iportal, SCR and any other systems to achieve a smooth pathway for the patient alongside accurate and safe Data Quality collection.
