Job summary

UHNM are looking for a Senior Training Fellow (LAS ST3) in Ophthalmology. The successful candidate will work closely with the Ophthalmology Consultants who provide a first class service. The Ophthalmology team undertake both surgical and clinical work following the surge of clinical activity and support the reduction of the backlog following the Covid-19 pandemic.

Main duties of the job

oSupport a comprehensive outpatient service within Ophthalmology

oTreat patients with Ophthalmology conditions

oContinue clinical responsibility for patients in your charge

oWork with colleagues in other professions and support inter-disciplinary workoTriage of patients and safely discharge patients, when appropriate

  • Full GMC Registration

Desirable

  • Other higher degree (PhD, Masters, BSc)

Experience

Essential

  • Completed at least 4 years full time postgraduate training (or equivalent gained on part time basis) or have equivalent experience and competencies.
  • At least 3 years' experience in Ophthalmology.
