Job summary

An exciting opportunity has become available for an enthusiastic band 6 nurse to join a dynamic and fast paced Imaging Nursing Team. The role of the imaging nurse is specialised, and there is a requirement to work in all of the different areas of the imaging department inclusive of Interventional Suites, CT, Ultrasound, Fluoroscopy and the Radiology Day case Unit. The successful applicant will also be required to participate in the Interventional On Call Service.

Main duties of the job

The post holder is expected to take part in the organisation of the workload, providing guidance to more junior staff and liaising with other senior nurses, radiographers and radiologists, secretarial staff and the directorate's senior management team as necessary. On occasion, the post holder may be the most senior practitioner in a clinical area and will be expected to act as the daily operational lead for this area.
