Job summary

University Hospitals of North Midlands is currently unable to provide sponsorship this role.   • GCSE Maths and English at grade C/4 or Level 2 Functional Skills for Maths and English.

Main duties of the job

The role of the Senior Clinical Support Worker within gynaecology is an exciting opportunity for candidates who thrives working independently as well as supporting the Nursing and medical team. We are looking for a person who can use initiative and problem solve under the guidance of Standard Operating Procedures and protocols. The position requires proficiency in both clinical and clerical skills . With duties ranging from managing waiting lists , making appointments and handling patient queries as well as chaperoning , preparing and maintaining the clinical environment. Predominantly based at Royal Stoke working alongside the gynaecology consultants and nursing team.

o Organise all aspects of clerical duties including reception duties, maintenance of record systems, booking appointments, filing and ordering and storage of supplies.Organise the delivery and retrieval of specimens, items & equipment to and from the outreach clinic.o The provision of care involves invasive procedures, some of which require additional training and assessment of competence by a suitable qualified assessor eg bladder scanning, urodynamics assistanto This role includes interpretation or analysis of clinical data.o Chaperone and assist medical/nursing staff during patient examinationo Communicate relevant information to the relevant consultant, Nurse in charge.o Demonstrate good customer care skills.o The post holder will be required to demonstrate a level of organisational skills
