Job summary

University Hospitals of North Midlands is currently unable to provide sponsorship this role. If you hold a graduate visa, you are welcome to apply for this role however it is important to note that UHNM will be unable to offer sponsorship at the end of your graduate visa, you must also have at least six months until your graduate visa expires at the start of your employment for training and operational reasons.

The primary role of a Band 3 Senior Clinical Support Worker is to assist, support and work in collaboration with the Registered Nurse and the wider multidisciplinary team; in order to provide a safe and holistic approach to person-centred care. Learning new skills that will help further their career in the future.

Interviews

If you are shortlisted for an interview for this role, you must bring evidence of the following qualifications:

• GCSE Maths and English at grade C/4 or Level 2 Functional Skills for Maths and English.

If you hold overseas GCSE equivalent qualifications, you will need to bring an ECCTIS comparability statement for you GCSE equivalent qualifications along with your original certificate

• A Full Care CertificateOR NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (we can only accept NVQ's from a regulated awarding body).

If you do not bring the above qualifications to your interview, then the interview will not proceed.

Main duties of the job

To assist with nursing duties within your own remit, to work alongside the qualified nurse to learn further skills. To lead a small team on health care assistants to gain the same skills. To advocate for the patients group and to escalate concerns to the qualified nurse.
