An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 3 Senior Clinical Support Worker to join the Imaging Team here at UHNM.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Clinical Support Worker to work in our busy imaging department at UHNM.
The successful candidate will need to be a motivated team player with a flexible attitude and be able to demonstrate commitment to their own professional development. There is a requirement to be flexible to meet the needs of the department. In return we will support the candidate to develop in the role.
Interview
If you are shortlisted for an interview for this role, you must bring evidence of the following qualifications:
- GCSE Maths and English at grade C/4 or Level 2 Functional Skills for Maths and English.
If you hold overseas GCSE equivalent qualifications, you will need to bring an ECCTIS comparability statement for you GCSE equivalent qualifications along with your original certificate
- A Full Care CertificateOR NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (we can only accept NVQ's from a regulated awarding body)
If you do not bring the above qualifications to your interview, then the interview will not proceed
Although it may seem frustrating if you have completed a degree in the UK or other professional qualifications our policy states we must have GCSE's or equivalent as part of the requirements for this role.
Main duties of the job
The majority of patients will pass through the imaging department at some point in their hospital attendance. As a department we value the service offered within imaging. We uphold and adhere to the 'Proud to Care' standards.
The successful Band 3 Senior Clinical Support Worker will join and be supported by our Imaging Nursing Team. The Imaging Nursing Team are required to cover the whole of the Imaging Department, but are fundamentally based in Interventional Radiology and our Radiology Day Case Unit. In our Interventional Radiology suites, operations are carried out under X-Ray Guidance. Within Imaging we also carry out procedures under Ultrasound and CT Guidance. We also have our own 9 bedded Radiology Day Case Unit providing pre and post procedure care to Imaging Patients.
