An exciting secondment opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, highly motivated and reliable member of the SAU team to join the current senior nursing team.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the senior ward sister and ensuring that the demand and flow within the departments is optimised at all times to ensure the following speciality teams General Surgical, Vascular, Urological, ENT, Plastics, MaxFax and Gynaecological patients are managed appropriately either via the ambulatory department or the inpatient area.
SAU/SSDEC are dynamic clinical areas that thrive on the daily challenges faced by emergency care. The successful candidate will therefore be responsible for ensure patient and staff wellbeing are maintained at all times and will ensure that the SAU and SSDEC teams shows great commitment to providing high quality and patient focused care, delivered by a team of individual people with vision and dedication to this team.

Supporting flow from all emergency portals and community settings as well as the prompt and timely management of patients within the departments to point of discharge or admission to the acute clinical areas for ongoing clinical management. The successful candidate will also be responsible for health and well being of all junior staff on duty in the absence of the senior ward sister.
