Job summary
University Hospitals of North Midlands is currently unable to provide sponsorship this role. This is in accordance with UKVI guidelines and legislation, as these roles do not meet the skill nor salary threshold for sponsorship. If you hold a graduate visa, you are welcome to apply for this role however it is important to note that UHNM will be unable to offer sponsorship at the end of your graduate visa, you must also have at least six months until your graduate visa expires at the start of your employment for training and operational reasons.
Due to the nature of the role it is a Genuine Occupational Requirement, as outlined in Schedule 9, part 1 of the Equality Act 2010, that only females may apply.
The post holder will:
Act as a chaperone for imaging tests
Provide assistance to the operator during biopsies by preparing trollies using ANTT, assisting during the procedure as required.
Provide support for the patient undergoing procedures
Apply pressure following biopsies and post biopsy wound care
Ensure that the environment is clean and tidy
Carry out post procedural data input to Trust systems
Support the service with maintenance of stock
Ability to drive between sites is beneficial as start and end times do not coincide with the inter-hospital bus.
Main duties of the job
The post holder is required to provide a supportive role to the imaging team ensuring the delivery of an efficient and effective service; working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to give the best quality of service by assisting radiographers, nurses and medical staff by carrying out non-radiographic clinical and non-clinical tasks in the Imaging Directorate. A caring, co-operative and flexible approach to working practices is required whilst maintaining a professional attitude for the dignity and well-being of the patient. Reception / clerical duties including data entry are essential elements of the role.
