Job summary

An exciting opportunity has become available to join the team at Staffordshire Children's Hospital at Royal Stoke as a Paediatric Staff Nurse for the Paediatric Medical Ward.

Main duties of the job

To assess, develop, implement and evaluate nursing care needs of children and families/carers within the ward or department in order to provide and maintain a high standard of informed and effective holistic care following a formal period of preceptorship. To participate and contribute to the teaching requirements of the ward and department. To contribute to the management of the nursing services by taking charge the clinical area when required on an occasional basis if applicable to that clinical area. To rotate to other clinical areas as requested, to meet the demands of the service and fulfil professional educational needs. To participate in the development of clinical audit,ensuring that a prominent nursing contribution is made.
