Job summary
We are the main general surgery and CEPOD Theatres for our patients from the North Midlands. Our existing services for upper GI, HPB, Bariatrics, colorectal, plastics surgery can offer variety of specialities and fit alongside our excellent 24/7 CEPOD service . We have recently become renowned for our Colorectal Robot service which continues to develop and expand to our other specialities with our New 2nd robot. This will ensure the successful candidates have a platform to develop skills and provide a passport to your future career development.We are very keen to recruit Scrub & Anaesthetic Practitioners with existing skills, ODP's and Nurses are welcome to apply.Ideally, we are looking for experienced theatre team members, but we welcome applications from newly qualified staff / or new to theatres who can demonstrate a keen interest in joining our team. Any ODP or Nurse students who qualify in the next 3 to 6 months are encouraged to apply.You will gain a wide range of experience and can expand your skills and knowledge in this challenging and rewarding environment.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for dynamic, enthusiastic candidates with the ability to work well within a challenging environment, and who can deliver high quality patient care from both an Anaesthetic and Scrub skill set. We promote a dual role workforce in our theatre department.In turn, we can offer you a structured preceptorship and induction programme for all new members of staff, plus access to on-going continuing professional education and development, appraisal and clinical supervision.We have vacancies for full time and part time members of staff. We have a wide range of shifts available, and we cover both elective and emergency sessions over 7 days a week /24 hour a day (at Royal Stoke)Important Information:Please note the University Hospitals of North Midlands (NHS) Trust, do not pay travel expenses for candidates attending interview
