University Hospitals of North Midlands (UHNM) Imaging department is looking to recruit dedicated, skilled Diagnostic General Radiographers to our Service Lead Radiographer Team. Roles will be based at County Hospital and within our Community Hospitals Team, with an expectation to rotate as needed to all sites. This is an exciting opportunity to progress your career by leading a portion of our Plain Film X-ray service.
The Service Lead Radiographer will support the Plain Film Team using compassionate leading methodologies to meet the vision of the Imaging department and UHNM. Leading service change and improvements within their area, supporting the Superintendent in manging the day to day operational activities of the department as part of the Service Lead Radiographer Team.
UHNM's Plain Film service cover's 6 different Hospital sites across the County including the Royal Stoke, County Hospital, Haywood Hospital and community units. Soon to incorporate UHNM's new CDC.
County Hospital is Located in the county town of Stafford, the Imaging department is very well equipped, with 3 DR rooms, 3 DR Mobiles, 1 Digital Fluoroscopy/DR Room, 4 Digital Mobile Image Intensifiers, Our Radiographers undertake a wide range of imaging examinations through a variety of shifts and on-call.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will be Reliable, enthusiastic, hardworking, committed to developing Imaging services and giving our patients and referrers the very best quality of care and service.
The post holder will have responsibility for the management of the Plain Film X-ray service provided in their designated area including development, implementation and evaluation of service needs. Ensuring high standards of patient care are maintained across the team and fostering an environment for continuous improvement. Managing the 24/7 operational delivery of the service by ensuring staff are deployed to meet the needs of patients and referrers, with an expectation to undertake out of hours work as required for the needs of the service.
They will be trained to complete line management duties, mentoring and pastoral duties for the Plain Film team.
Successful applicants would be expected to contribute to the 24/7 service delivery and given the opportunity to work a split clinical/management role.
